What is the Galápagos?
The Galápagos was the birthplace of Charles Darwin's theory of evolution in 1835. Darwin observed the wildlife in the Galápagos, many of which are endemic to these islands, and their ability not only to evolve into their own species but also to thrive in this environment. The Galápagos is located on and below the equator, at 0 degrees latitude. Have you ever wanted to travel to the southern hemisphere of our planet? Now is your opportunity!
The wildlife in the Galápagos has absolutely no fear of humans. Having the experience of Galápagos Sea Lions sitting next to you on a beach, walking among Giant Galápagos tortoises weighing over 600 pounds, observing Galápagos Marine Iguanas swimming in the ocean, and snorkeling with Humboldt Penguins and Sea Horses makes the Galápagos one of the most unique places to visit on our planet.

Who is Elm Street Photography & Elm Street Photography Tours LLC?
My name is Michael Coons, Owner and Photographer. We are a small
business in the North Woods of Maine. We maintain a professional art
gallery in Milo, Maine, featuring the very best wildlife and nature
photography prints and gifts. We are also a full-service travel agent,
specializing in unique travel excursions around the world. What makes us
unique and different than your typical travel industry partner is that we do not
stop at just providing our clients with a travel package. We personally travel to
each location that we offer excursions to. Why do we do this? We not only
spend time developing relationships with local guides and businesses, but we
also immerse ourselves in learning the local laws and customs associated with
traveling to the unique locations we offer. Another unique facet of our
business is that we offer the option of us traveling with you, not only as a
travel advisor for your entire journey, but also as your professional
personal photographer. Upon returning to the USA, you will be provided a
USB thumb drive with professionally taken and processed images and videos
of your adventure. This is a service that I do not know exists anywhere else in
the industry. We will accompany you from your departure to your return, to
ensure that your excursion of a lifetime is the absolute best trip you have ever
taken.

Have you ever dreamed of visiting the Galápagos... snorkeling with sea turtles, trying your hand at surfing, or sitting on the beach watching Galápagos marine iguanas and Galápagos sea lions walk right by you? Travel to the Galápagos with Elm Street Photography Tours LLC, and get the ultimate in personalized service. We are not your typical travel agent, one who sits behind a desk all day and makes reservations for their clients. You are not a client of ours; you will be treated like family. We travel to every location that we offer excursions to. We do this to develop local relationships and to make sure that when we say the spaghetti is good in a particular restaurant, we know this because we have dined there personally.
You could plan your Galápagos experience yourself, but why? I will do all of the work for you: arranging your flights, hotels, and daily sightseeing excursions. Visiting the Galápagos has many restrictions. We will help you navigate all of the local regulations and laws, so you have the experience of a lifetime.
Our Galápagos experience is 6-night/7-day and includes the following...
Airfare
Round-trip airfare from most major airports in the USA to Isla Baltra in the Galápagos. This will include your first checked bag and a personal item carry-on. Elm Street Photography Tours LLC will choose all seats.
Additional transportation option:
Once you arrive in the Galápagos on Isla Baltra, you will need to either travel by boat to Isla Isabela or by semi-private plane charter. Fees for these options range from $30 USD to around $150 USD each way, per person.
Hotel Accommodations:
Elm Street Photography Tours LLC will make all of the reservations. All hotels will be comfortable, with three-star and four-star establishments.
Two of the most popular day tours are included:
Los Túneles
Tintoreras
Logistical information:
Visiting the Galápagos will most likely be unlike any other place you have visited. As a visitor to these highly protected islands, you will not be allowed to rent a car. Honestly, there is a list of activities that you are not allowed to do without being in the presence of a licensed Galápagos naturalist (a guide). Do not let this sway your decision about going to the Galápagos. Elm Street Photography Tours LLC will create an itinerary for you where you stay on Isla Isabela, an island that has many locations available for tourists to visit without having to be with a naturalist. The port town of Puerto Villamil is full of hotels, beachfront restaurants, snorkeling locations, and bike trails, which can all be taken advantage of without being with a guide. I have personally spent 8 days on Isla Isabela and in Puerto Villamil, and the experience that I had was amazing!
What will you see? Here is a small list that should be on your itinerary...
- Snorkeling
- Swim with sea turtles, sharks, and sea lions
- Spot Blue-footed boobys, Frigatebirds, Pelicans, and even Penguins
- Try your hand at surfing
-Hike to an active volcanic crater
-Rent a bike and go off on your own to see Galápagos Giant Tortoises in the wild
-Take a day trip to the famous Los Túneles, Tintoreras, or even hop a boat for a day trip to another island
... and much, much more :)
Not Include...
$200 per person Galápagos Park entry fee
$20 TCT Transit Card fee
- Travel insurance. Elm Street Photography Tours LLC recommends that the tour members purchase travel insurance. While inexpensive (approximately $100.00 +/- per traveler), this insurance can provide not only total trip reimbursement but also medical and dental coverage while abroad.
